Co ischemic heart disease and stroke are the world’s two leading causes of death. Ischemic heart disease accounts for 12.2 % of all deaths and 9.7 % for stroke, according to the World Health Organization Global Burden of Disease Program. – But the relative rate of death and disability from heart disease and stroke are different from country to country.

The MEGF10 gene normally plays an important role in muscle stem cells. These are also known as ‘satellite cells ‘because they bound to the outer surface of the muscle, where they silent quiet are. When a muscle is damaged, the satellite cells are actively begin to divide and then fuse with the muscle fiber. MEGF10 has an important role in this welding process because it is the ‘sticky’surface for attachment of the satellite cell.
